The Course:
Tucked into the southwest corner of the Province, this charming
links-style layout offers a panoramic view of the local lighthouse and
ocean. At first glance, the openness of the course leads one to believe
that low scores are the norm. However, the rolling fairways, small
lightning fast greens and unpredictable ocean breezes all combine to
provide a true challenge for any golfer.
This club was established in the early 1800's and operated as a nine
hole course until the mid 1990's when the new nine was opened for play
in 1995. Yarmouth is one of the Province's oldest courses. While playing
Yarmouth course you will be treated to great views of the Atlantic
Ocean. The course is fairly wide open but the small greens will make up
for this as accurate approach shots will be required.

The West Pubnico Golf & Country Club officially opened August 31, 1968.
The club later opened its back nine on June 20, 1991. Today there are
380 members and many visitors who enjoy a driving range, putting green
and club house with licensed snack bar. The men have a yardage of 6052
yds and slope of 124 and the ladies yardage is 5415 yds and slope 122.
The front nine consists of one par 5, six par 4, and two par 3 holes.
The back nine consists of three par 5, four par 4, and two par 3 holes.
The challenging back nine offers water in front of the green on the
10th, 12th and 15th holes and in fact, the 15th is an "island green"
and the course's signature hole.

beautiful Clyde River, through wooded hills with many spectacular views.
Our new five holes (across the road) are beautifully landscaped with
ponds and lined with magnificent rock walls. This is truly a course that

The Clare Golf course layout has also hosted major
provincial championships, including the Nova Scotia Junior
Championships, both the Nova Scotia Men’s and Ladies Amateur, and the
Nova Scotia Men’s Mid - Amateur. The team chosen at the 1999 Mid-Amateur
held at Clare Golf Club went on to capture Nova Scotia’s first national
team title in Alberta later that summer.
